I'm really looking into this area and like it a lot, but it seems employment in my field (programming) isn't easy to come by. Also, seems property is a little on the pricey side for anything convienient to work. Any suggestions from the locals??
Why not work from home? We just came back from extreme Western VA (West of Bristol) and are thinking of that area. It's high on Joels list.
I've been hearing left and right about computer programmers working from home, mostly for agencies etc., but they still get paid well with benefits.
Sorta wished I wasnt in sales, I took a few programming classes in college but stayed in hardware. Ooops.
I wish I could work from home, but I'm not sure how to go about finding a company that will let me do that. It's hard enough just finding a company looking for my skill set (Powerbuilder, Oracle, Cold Fusion). If you know of any agencies that offer virtual office, let me know!!!
